SPAGIO European and Pacific Rim Cuisine and Spagio Cellars offer a unique opportunity to central Ohioans through its annual “A Celebration of Wine, Food and Dining with the Stars.” The only event of its kind in Ohio, attendees stroll through the restaurant and kitchen tasting award-winning cuisine prepared by world-renowned chefs flown in from across the country. Guests also sample wine from premier vineyards as they enjoy live music and mingle with our celebrity chefs at various food stations. A silent and live auction tops off the evening, with all proceeds benefitting the Hospice and Palliative Care Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This year’s 11th Annual event was a huge success!
The event’s lineup of celebrity chefs include: With over 200 guests in attendance, our 13 celebrity chefs, brought in from all parts of the country, shone brightly - Cola-braised Short Ribs with Parsnip Puree and Horseradish Crème Fraiche, Hudson Valley Foie Gras Brulee, Roast Suckling Pig with Crabapple, Pickled Mustard Seed and Sweet Potato Mustard, Grilled Honey Quail with Pomegranates, Dates, Oranges and Pistachios and Almond Mascarpone Macrons - unbelievable cuisine! And this is a short list of the evenings offerings, all enjoyed while meandering through SPAGIO (including the kitchen) and SPAGIO Cellars, listening to the live sounds of the Dave Powers Trio. Through ticket sales, a raffle and both auctions, the event raised over $80,000! Once Upon a Night - Nationwide Children's Hospital's premier fundraising event, Once Upon a Night is "where the story begins" - a black-tie gala to celebrate the stories and happily ever-afters of Nationwide Children's Hospital! Presented and hosted by the Easton Community Foundation, this year's event is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2008, 6pm at the Hilton at Easton. The evening raises hundreds of thousands of dollars and members from all of the hospital's auxiliary groups work to support this spectacular event! Live music and fabulous food awaits attendees.
